Plea deal factored in G-Bone plea

WINONA, Minn., Jan. 5, 1999 -- Prison is almost certain for G-Bone Perkins when he goes before Judge Lawrence Collins for sentencing Feb. 1, but probably only 12-1/2 years. Before a plea deal by his attorney, G-Bone faced 20 years per count. In exchange for the plea, prosecutor Steve Schleicher dropped first-degree attempted murder and is going only with second-degree. With good time, Perkins could be out in 8-1/3 years.
